DUALITY @ LISBON ART WEEKEND - DUPLEX AIR, LISBON, NOVEMBER 2022

Duplex AIR, where Lena Zak participated in an art residency program, served as an official location for Lisbon Art Weekend 2022. For this event, Lena Zak transformed her studio into a project space and presented an in-situ piece titled "Duality." The work included a 3D painting, sheets, pillows, chains, broken mirrors, bricks, and a "fragile" tape. "Duality" explores the fragility of relationships, the feeling of entrapment within a dysfunctional ones, the loss of a home, and the attempt to find balance, a yin-yang equilibrium within an experience that is simultaneously overwhelming and liberating.
