DUALITY @ LISBON ART WEEKEND - DUPLEX AIR, LISBON, NOVEMBER 2022

Duplex AIR, where Lena Zak participated in an art residency program, was an official location for Lisbon Art Weekend 2022. For the event, an art studio was transformed into a project space where Zak presented an installation titled Duality. This work reflected Zak's experiences of ended relationships and the challenges of becoming a migrant in a foreign country. Duality delves into the fragility of the concept of home and relationships, exploring themes of loss, grief, and the quest for balance in experiences that are simultaneously overwhelming and liberating. Alongside this installation, Zak also showcased artworks from her Vibration series, which investigates the correlation between sound and mark-making.
