Sound and dance profoundly influence the visual dimension of the works in Vibrations series. Whether it’s the resonance of specific music or the notable absence of sound in moments of complete silence, the sounds within the studio—tools, paint mixing, footsteps, and ambient noises—become more pronounced and relevant. The dynamics, character, and energy of these sounds find expression through the rhythmic movements of the hand on the canvas or paper. This process involves minimal visual control over the emerging work; the sound itself and how it is conveyed through movement shapes the results, inspired by dance and acoustic drawing.
