MONOCHROME is a body of work that explores questions of identity, belonging, and the search for home through a visceral, abstract visual language. Built around a restrained, predominantly black palette, the series is driven by strong contrasts and tensions, evoking states of presence and absence, strength and vulnerability, order and collapse.

The paintings emerge from bodily movement and rhythm, resulting in gestural, almost performative marks with calligraphy-like qualities. These repeated signs accumulate into a cryptic visual system: an intuitive, non-verbal script that feels both ancient and futuristic, coded yet instinctive. Rather than forming readable text, this “alphabet” operates on a subconscious level, translating experiences of displacement and inner states into rhythm and trace.
