ALIENATED IDENTITY reflects on the transformation of the self under the pressure of conformity. At its center is a suspended light, a metaphor for inner essence and latent power, gradually engulfed by a dense tangle of black cables. These parasitic structures obscure and constrain the light, blurring the boundary between illumination and darkness, between what is authentic and what is imposed.
The work stages a tension between an inner core and a socially constructed persona shaped by external expectations, inherited beliefs, and intrusive systems of control.
